Forest
Resonence

Documenting and celebrating the earths "old growth" forests through immersive multimedia.

Forest Resonance is an evolving interdisciplinary project combining music, performance, and immersive documentation of ancient forests worldwide.Through sound recordings, photography, and video, I engage directly with old-growth trees, creating compositions inspired by their rhythms, textures, and histories.

Documentation has begun in the redwoods and continue to explore research and location other sacred trees. This summer, I plan to bring the Mountain Woman all-in-one costume/set into forests, gardens, and historic tree-filled cemeteries, performing among the trees themselves. These outdoor performances immerse audiences in the multisensory experience of the forest, connecting art, music, and movement to these ancient living neighbors.

Future locations may include California’s redwoods, and other old growth forests across the USA,Madagascar’s Baobabs, Mediterranean olive groves, and other old-growth ecosystems. These trees, having stood for centuries or millennia, are ecological keystones—maintaining biodiversity, carbon balance, and habitat stability. My work documents their presence and celebrates the interconnectedness of all living systems.

By combining performance, documentation, and community engagement, Forest Resonance raises awareness of the ecological and cultural importance of ancient forests, inspiring care and stewardship for these irreplaceable ecosystems.
